quilt with straight lines...
and whenever my project is a little too thick.
I wondered recently if it was working correctly.
So......
I took it in to see the Sewing machine Doctor.
Yes. I'm having issues.
Turns out...There's a speed limit on these "doohickeys"!!!
Who knew???
I almost stripped the gears!!!
I guess machines can sometimes go faster than
a walking foot was meant to go.
Well......
But....
It's not going to work.
I just know it.
I know how fast I want to go!!
I know it will take more than a little reminder to
slow me down!!!
I Tried.
And then I realized......
If
I can keep it going in a straight line!!!
LOL! I've done the same thing...
ReplyDeletePS... did you see that you won over on the Vintage Sheets blog?!?!
Jennifer :)
Who knew? I suppose that's why it's called a "walking" foot not a "running" foot. Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeletei feel your pain. i think i press mine to it's limits, too. I haven't wrote a note to myself on mine, but maybe i should???;)
ReplyDeleteYou're killing me! Remember, walk don't run! Silly girl. . .
ReplyDeleteMaybe if you had to pay a fine every time you were speeding....?
ReplyDeleteYou make me laugh, girl!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Have you already sent fabric for your Nittany Block Party project this month? I just want to make sure mine's not lost in the mail.
Who knew? I'm a pokey sewer so I don't think I'll have a problem!
ReplyDeletelol Beth! I had no idea walking feet were so sensitive. Mine seems to be ok so far, hopefully it doesn't ever give me any problems!
ReplyDeleteI am not good at fast....I think I crawl.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is good to know!
