Table Mat Parade

I have been working on table mats for the last couple of months.

They are for an upcoming retreat.

Hopefully they will find good homes.

I tried to include different holidays
and a collection of different color combos.

Something for everyone!

They are made mostly from leftovers from quilt projects....

Or orphan blocks.
And.....of course....
SCRAPS!!!

If YOU have a small quilt
or a table mat to share this week....
LINK UP and share!!!!
I need to get some good ideas for next year..... :)

Monday Making

11 down.....ONLY 25 more to go!!!

This "sally post floral sampler" is such a fun project.
I am enjoying each little 6" block of sweetness.

This applique quilt has me captivated right now.
The housework can wait.
The dinners can be haphazard. - PB&J anyone?
The laundry can pile up!

I am going to stitch.

What is keeping YOU from chores this week??
Link up and share.

++++++++++++++++++++

Next week I will be hosting the linky party a bit early.

It will be a TABLE MAT PARADE!!!

Please be ready to share a little quilt
that doubles as a centerpiece.
:)

The party will begin on March 23 and end on March 27.

I look forward to seeing LOTS of little table mats.

Monday Making

Those of you who visit here often know I've been working on table mats.
I am making 10 little quilts for an upcoming women's retreat.
They will be on the mess hall tables with pictures or flowers on top.

These are the last TWO!!!

I still need to get some of them quilted and bound...
but finishing the tops is certainly a WIN for me.
:)

When they are really ALL DONE
I will have a little table mat parade here on the blog.

I bet YOU have a table mat or two you could show off!

I'll have a little parade linky party in a couple of weeks.
How does that sound?

This week I'll work on finishing the table mats.
What are YOU making this week???

Monday Making

I began ANOTHER applique project this week.
I am enjoying these soft pretty colors.
The pink and yellow scraps make a great COMBO!

The green is from a cotton sheet.
Sometimes I find cotton sheets at the thrift store.
They are an affordable way to boost your STASH.
:)
I will NEVER run out of that wonderful GREEN!

The pattern for these blocks came from sentimental stitches.
I have had the pattern for quite a while and am enjoying
the applique.
(the pattern is called "sally post floral sampler")

I needle turn using the pattern as a guide ONLY.
The pieces I cut are very 'free form'.
:)

It is, friends, the stress FREE way to applique.
Does MY quilt need to look exactly like Sally"s???
Nope.

What are YOU making this week???
