  9. Whoo Hoo!!! Being a grandma is the BEST thing ever!!! Let's see, my grandbaby is 10 months old and I've only made her four quilts (so far)!! Lady - start your stitching!!!

  13. Oh my goodness! Congratulations!
    Well it depends on if the parents are quilt lovers or not........my grandaughter has many quilts from Grandma, fabric books, dolls, doll quilts, doll clothes........it is all so much fun!

    Happy sewing....will you be Nana, Grandma, Mima or something else?

  24. Congrate to all. Being a Grandma is such fun. Oh they need lots of quilts. One for the crib,then one for the cot,one for a floor quilt to play on, ah a travel quilt in the car and then of course he/she will need one at Grandmas. so start sewing.

    I've made quite a few quilts for our grandson, some before he was born and some after. I knitted a lot of wool blankets too.
    Preparing for a new member of the family is so special.

  27. Congrats!! Grandkids are great and I love making stuff for them. Girls and boys alike. Make as many as you can stand and then make a few more. I love to do the quickie recieving blankets and burb cloths...they make great gifts too.

    Enjoy them they grow up fast.

  32. Good for you. It is fun. I left my granddaughter at my house this morning when I left for work. She and her mom are staying with us this week. Hard to leave her.

  37. Congratulations! Being a grandma is the best. My granddaughter, 2 1/2 years old, has two quilts. I am making another one for her for her birthday in June. I am thinking a quilt a year is good. Have fun!
