all done!

My Disappearing 9 patch is complete.
In this picture it looks just just like it did here!
But NOW.......

It's quilted.

The binding is on!!!
The hand stitching is even done on the back!!

AND....
The backing is laying nice and smooth!
Woo Hoo!!!

You can't tell in the picture above but this backing fabric is very
UNUSUAL.

Maybe here you can see....
It looks kind of WET!
There are little silver threads running through the fabric.
When this fabric found its way to my house...
I wasn't sure what I'd be doing with it!!!
But it worked out great for this quilt!!!
yeah!

The last picture:
My quilting stitches.
Aren't they fun???
No marking.
No hassles.
Just lines with a little wave every so often.

Oh good!!!
A finished a quilt.
That means...
I can begin another!!!

  19. Congrats. I love this quilt. I have some 9 Patch blocks that have been aging for awhile now. I think it's time for them to blossom into a D9P...I haven't made one of these yet and yours has inspired me to do this. I love it. Thanks for sharing.

  22. Great job with the quilting -- looks like waves in water - very appropriate for the "wet" backing :).
