simple pleasures.

My life is full of simple pleasures!!
Yesterday it was making these
teeny.tiny.itsy-bitsy. pillows.
The larger pillow is 3" square.
The Smaller ones are 1 1/2" square.
I had fun filling my little chair
with Christmas.

I also had to make a matching quilt!!
4 1/2" square. :)
You can see I'm hand quilting it!!
Not quite done with that part yet!
Don't think it will take long....
do you???

Here's the back of the quilt!
Vintage flannel!!!
Woo Hoo!!!
The other simple pleasure I enjoy.....

The last piece of coconut pie!!
I might even eat it out of the pie pan!! :o
Here's the easy recipe from an old
Taste of Home magazine (Dec/Jan. '98)
Coconut Pie
2 C. milk
1 C. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 C. flour
6 T. butter or margarine
1 t. vanilla
1/2 t. salt
1 C. coconut
Mix all the above in a blender.
Pour into greased pie plate.
Bake 350 for 1 hour.
serve warm.....
or cold like I'm doing now!!
If you like coconut macaroons...you'll love this one.
What are YOUR simple pleasures today???
Enjoy them!!
They are what make life so beautiful!

  10. What a chair full of Christmas goodies. Your vintage Santa flannel is the cutest! My little pleasure was hot buttered toast with vegemite on the train on my way to work this morning, usually I have cold crackers. I'll have to make your coconut pie one day, it looks delicious!

  12. Ha ha, I forgot the chair was little. The cushions seem much bigger in the photo - they are great.
Eat the pie straight from the dish - no point in dirtying another one :)
