getting along

My 2" scraps seem to be getting along with me this week!!!
Is it because they know Christmas is right around the corner???
Their little seams are matching up so nicely!!
I think the reason MIGHT be this little machine!!
She sews along so sweetly.
I'm also being a little more careful to
use a SCANT 1/4" seam.
Maybe that helps...but....
I'm going to give my little featherweight
ALL the CREDIT!!!
I was ACTUALLY getting LOW on 2" scraps!!
Can you believe it??
I cut some more today....
and hope that....
This quilt grows to be
TWIN size sometime real soon!!!!

  2. Oh, I would give the featherweight credit. I think they are wonderful with small pieces. I have one of these in progress as leader/enders. What an inviting quilt!

  10. Beth, you and I really DO need to meet in person someday!! I have a featherweight that I love so much.....looks just like yours! AND, I am sewing together 2 inch squares to make a twin size quilt...mine will have a white square for every other block. I'm over halfway finished sewing together the four patch blocks I'm starting with....it has been my leader/ender project since June. Yours is looking so great...it inspires me to keep going. (Mine may not match up so nicely!)

  13. Oh my goodness! That's a lot of 2' squares! They're wonderful together. Credit the FW if you must, but I think it's YOU who deserves the kudos. It's going to be a great quilt, and will definitely get you off the hook from making "Roll Roll Cotton Boll!"
