Just plugging away over here...
Doing little things.
I can't believe I didn't make one of these hexagons
for myself last year!!!
They are so easy and I made so many last year...
I can honestly say.....
"I can sew them in my sleep!" :)
"I can sew them in my sleep!" :)
For the one above I enlarged the outside two strips to 3"
instead of 2 1/2".....
instead of 2 1/2".....
hoping I'd be able to get those snowmen in!
I was afraid of losing too many if the strip was too narrow.
It took more fabric that way and it's a little too big for my taste.
Oh well..
Live and Learn.
Then I added a little excitement to...
This dress...
That came from the thrift store. ;)
That came from the thrift store. ;)
It's amazing what leftover beaded trim
and a few simple buttons can DO!!!!
You are the busy bee! Love the hexagon tree skirt - glad you finally made one to keep. :o)
ReplyDeleteCute updates on the Christmas dress, they're just the right touch.
I just finished two bags for Christmas presents. I didn't have time to make anything for myself this year. I think as soon as I am done with my mitten gift card holders I am hanging up the machine until after Christmas.
ReplyDeletebeautiful tree skirt! and the addition of the buttons really do make the dress special! :) great job :o)
ReplyDeleteOh, how clever and cute! Both the table topper and the dress trim.
ReplyDeleteIs the hexie the right size for a dinner plate charger? Might be cute....
ReplyDeleteYou are so stinkin' creative...... ;-)
Beth, What a fun little festive hexagon, you are the busy quilter and I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat little dress!
ReplyDeletegreat little dress and a plaid tartan bow for her hair would be adorable!
ReplyDeleteor just red!
my girls would love to wear ribbon sashings on dresses like that
I would take them to Michaels and let them pick out 3" ribbon or so and we would buy enough for them to wear on dresses like this and tie a bow in the back!
Kathie
great added trim on the dress! so cute.
ReplyDeleteLove the hexie table topper,
I love your hexagon! Thanks for the link back to your tutorial!! Cute accents on the dress, too!
