simple pleasures.

My life is full of simple pleasures!!

Yesterday it was making these

teeny.tiny.itsy-bitsy. pillows.

The larger pillow is 3" square.

The Smaller ones are 1 1/2" square.

I had fun filling my little chair

with Christmas.

I also had to make a matching quilt!!

4 1/2" square. :)

You can see I'm hand quilting it!!

Not quite done with that part yet!

Don't think it will take long....

The other simple pleasure I enjoy.....

The last piece of coconut pie!!

I might even eat it out of the pie pan!! :o

Here's the easy recipe from an old

Taste of Home magazine (Dec/Jan. '98)

Coconut Pie

2 C. milk

1 C. sugar

4 eggs

1/2 C. flour

6 T. butter or margarine

1 t. vanilla

1/2 t. salt

1 C. coconut

Mix all the above in a blender.

Pour into greased pie plate.

Bake 350 for 1 hour.

serve warm.....

or cold like I'm doing now!!

All the supplies were there...

I even had some leftovers!!

It sure is fun to craft with friends!!!

Tiny, Tiny Scraps

After finishing my little christmas project yesterday, I had these little scraps left over. I COULD NOT throw them out, even though most of them are only 1 1/2" wide and this is ALL I have left. I certainly can't make a quilt out of these.

Then I remembered a lonely pillow near my front door. I found this small needlepoint pillow at a rummage sale Y-e-a-r-s ago. Maybe it would finally like some company. ??

Here we go. Now I'm dreaming of a little pillow collection. The two I made yesterday are only 1" square. (I didn't even stitch the opening closed yet..Sh! don't tell anyone.)
