little, itty bitty pillows.

AND....
an amazing thing happened!
I didn't forget a single thing!!!

All the supplies were there...

I even had some leftovers!!

It sure is fun to craft with friends!!!

As you can see.....
I was crafting with some
creative and inspired friends!!!

familiar?

Does this quilt design look familiar?
It's the exact same design as the pink and brown quilt
I blogged about recently.
The thing I love about these quilts I'm making is
the fact that all those 16 patches were lovingly made
by friends of the graduating seniors!
The ladies and some of the teenage girls at church
ALL pitched in and sewed some blocks together!!

I especially like the fabric in that dark blue triangle there.
It seems to fit right in with the fabrics on this quilt
and
I had just enough!!!!
Today I'm going to collect all the
"Ingredients" I need
for about 30 of these little hanging pillows.
This weekend I'll be teaching a little crafts class
up in the mountains at a retreat!!!
I should have with me....
aida cloth....
thread.....
little pillow forms.....
stuffing.....
buttons......
I sure hope I don't forget anything.....

red thread.

Today I'm giving you some more inspiration from Nancy.
It's all in red!

Isn't this sweet?

Did you know you could cross stitch on linen?

A whole FLEET of monograms and designs.

Nancy told me she was just getting ready to frame these.
Maybe I'll get a picture of that endeavor
next year when I visit!!

Here's a chair covered in some great fabric
she found when traveling!!

Nancy's husband comes from of a family of weavers.
This is a drying rack.
The perfect place to showcase lovely linens.

If you have a cross stitch collection....
You're sure to have a sampler!!!

More monograms and towels.

Red and white everywhere...
What's that?.....
Do I spy some black??

Here's Nancy's desk set.
Yup!
All the clutter is hidden in here.
Lovely!
Goes to show....
You can sure do a lot with red thread!!!

red and white

This little pile of red and white has been on my mind.
Love those little tiny, tiny red and white squares all
sewn together...helter skelter!
Don't know what I'm going to do with them yet!!
But, I LOVE 'em!
So Modern!
Then there's the traditional....
Cross stitch with red.
The perfect occupation when you're sitting in the waiting room.
I did both the heart and the monogram during
ONE
of my waits at the doctors office!
Then This!!!
I made a little tiny pillow with that ribbon and buttons.
Then I just basted that little sign on!
CUTE!
This is one of my samples for a little craft class
I will be leading in the spring.
Every year I go to a ladies church retreat.
Most of the ladies who do the craft want something
1. easy!
2. simple!
3. fun!
I will bring the cross stitching things and let them
make their own little pillow sign!!
I also have more red and white on the horizon!
My local quilt shop asked me to design a
redwork calendar quilt!!
Am I excited??
YES!
