gift.

One of my quilt friends gave me the best kind of gift.
Fabric.
2 1/2" strips of flannel.
Already cut!!!
I decided to take 5 strips at a time.
Sew them together.

Cut them into squares.
My squares were 10".
I was able to get 3 squares out of each set of strips
I sewed together.

With the leftover pieces of strip sets, I cut 3" pieces
for the border.

I laid them out like a rail fence block.
Added on a border of the white fabric (there was a lot of that).
Then used all the leftover 3"strip sets for another border.

There was very little waste.
I am a happy quilter
with a free quilt!!!

And enough strips (if I figured it right)
for another quilt!!!
