The Moment of TRUTH came this morning.
It's the moment when the quilt is turned over.
The moment you FINISH quilting.
The question is ALWAYS.....
ARE THERE ANY PUCKERS????
WHEW!!!!
It's nice and smooth.
A quilt I finished recently had a
NICE. BIG. CRINKLE. in the middle.
:/
It was a BABY quilt too!!!!
How did THAT happen????
Well...
It does happen to me sometimes.
I get going with stitching and
HATE to stop and CHECK the back!
Pedal to the metal
is not always a GOOD IDEA!
;)
Love that quilt... and the back is pretty, too. And now - no puckers! It just keeps getting better and better.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Glad to hear I'm not alone with that problem. Doesn't happen often but when it does. ERRR! Makes me so mad.
ReplyDeleteLove the lone log cabin, BTW
Turning your finished quilt over is a little like Christmas sometimes, isn't it, you never know what you'll find on the back. Good for you finding your lump and wrinkle free!
ReplyDeleteIf you find a pucker, do you pick it out? I have found a couple of small puckers and just left them before, and I don't even notice them later. Glad it all worked out! Pretty quilt.. xo
ReplyDeleteYeah, I hate that too! Did you leave the wrinkle? If I don't get a wrinkle, I manage to catch the backing folded over in the quilting.
ReplyDeleteFor those of you wondering WHAT I did with the pucker in the previous quilt....??? I covered it UP with the quilt label!!! ;) Shhh...don't tell. It was a pretty BIG pucker. If it's a little pucker...I leave it alone.
ReplyDeletedid you ever try the quilting spray adhesive??
ReplyDeletei can't imagine pinning??
lovely as always...
xo
