A good day contains a quilt.
Blocks and strips sewn together with friends.
I had an idea for the design of this quilt...
and am happy to say the patriotic fabric that I didn't like....
Turned into a pretty GREAT quilt!!!
I figured I could experiment with
a design and not worry about
USING up fabric that I love!
I DID say yesterday that I don't like
matching and measuring...
Well....
Sometimes I DO it anyways!!!
Thankfully this quilt didn't require
too many of those stars!!!
;)
All those 2 1/2" strips filled in nicely.....
Don't you think?
A good day begins with a quilt...
And ENDS with tomato basil soup.
A very good day indeed.
The yellow really WORKS in this quilt! Good day and very nice quilt!!!!

Your quilt design is delightful! A great way to make use of just a few pieced blocks. The patriotic fabrics are perfect here.
ReplyDeleteIts a wonderful design Beth. Love the splashes of yellow.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt!!! The stars look like shooting stars! They glow. I love the red squares dotted throughout too. And you have to be commended on using fabric you didn't really like, that's not easy to do.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting quilt! Would love to see it when it's quilted too. It will be even more interesting.
