Not QUITE big enough!!

If I add these it will be 82" square.

STILL....

I think I can find some more 2"x2" scraps around here....

Bow Ties

The beauty of a quilt bee is This:

This bee is all about pieced fabric!

So we've all been trying to come up with

projects using "made fabric".

Helen wants whites, lights, or...

as she described them...."milkshake" colors.

Here's a nice big piece....

Well...I don't have a lot of these colors

in my scrap basket so I

Used the WRONG side.

Here's the RIGHT side of some of that fabric.

Sometimes the wrong side of the fabric is what you WANT!!!

You can see I'm letting some of my seams

go this way and that and basically

"Do their own thing!"

Yes! there's freedom in quilting!!

One of my favorite things about quilting is

that often times....

WRONG is sometimes RIGHT!!!!

In fact.....

almost nothing is

WRONG

if you want it to be RIGHT!!!!

I'm so excited about this quilt!

It's so FUN to

use some brand NEW fabric!

I have some GREAT thoughts about how I'll be

quilting this baby!

Hopefully my thoughts will match up with

REALITY!!!

That's always the challenge for me!

There are EIGHT of us

using one small pack of 5" squares.

The challenge is to use this new fabric

to create something.... anything......

and use only TWO solids to compliment the charm pack!

I decided on a quilt top....50"x50".

Little Boy Blue

I'm done!

It was kind of a RACE to the end!

I wanted to be done!!!

I wasn't real excited about this one.

Does that ever happen to you?

Last night when I had all the little squares together it was fine.

But this morning....

It wasn't fine.

I thought it was kind of.....

boring.

I went ahead and finished it up though.

I HAD thought I'd use that print in the borders...

but I didn't.

Just can't make up my mind sometimes!

Wishy Washy....I think they call it.

It IS nice and soft!

Can't complain about that part!!!

Today I'm playing with blue and brown.

I LOVE this little bag!!!!

It was SOooo worth cutting

 little 2 1/2" squares here and there

after projects.

I have a Treasure trove of

little squares to use!!!!

I'm making some simple nine patches with color....

and some with white.
