Monday Making in August - and a little giveaway

It's going to be a different kind of MAKING week for me.
I won't be home much.
My son is having surgery and I'd LOVE to sew as I wait...
but I think this little knitting project will suit.

It's just a little dishcloth with a twist on the Basket weave pattern.
I like to play around with stitches on these small projects
and just see what happens!!!

I have LOTS of color to choose from!
Hmmmm...
How many of these balls will I pack in my bag???
;)

And, I'm sure you KNOW...
this won't be the only project I pack!!
Because....
MAKING is BEST when there are at least THREE things going at ONCE!!

I already have this one complete.
I thought it would be nice to send this along to one of my
blogland friends!!!
It's SO LITTLE....but....
If you'd like to have something pretty and practical...
leave a note and I'll choose a number at the end of the week.
It's a VERY SMALL thank you for your visits here
and for your KIND words!

I'm thankful for YOU!

What are YOU making this week???

Monday Making

I went back to my knitting roots this week
and began a BEANIE!

This is one of the simplest knitting projects....
and my son WEARS them!!!
It's one thing to KNIT...
it's another to figure out WHAT to knit in
Southern California!!
LOL!!

what are YOU up to this week??

Details

A simple knit bib....

with some detail.

Little details add a LOT!

I have a ball of ORANGE cotton yarn
that might show those little boxes off even MORE!

At MY house.....
There's always ANOTHER "what IF" project
to be made!!!
;)

Little kitchen helpers

Knit......
Or.....
Crochet????

I used to crochet these little dishcloths before I learned to knit.  They are a great way to practice stitching!

Just wondering if my friends in blog-land have a preference?

Do you like them knit?
Or crocheted?

I think I like mine knit!
I'm very tempted to UN-crochet the ones I have finished and RE-Do them with some knitting needles.
;)
Don't let me influence your vote!

I added a wooden spoon (decorated a bit with my wood burning tool) and am giving this to my neighbor for being a GOOD neighbor!
Just a little tiny something to say "thank you!"

A Knit wonder!

The miracle of Double knit:

Multiple trips to CAMP...
and it looks JUST the SAME!

Reminds me of that old commercial....
"Takes a Lickin' but keeps on Tickin'!!!"

I added a felt label to this sleeping bag.
We always know
Who it belongs to!!!

Do YOU have any Knit Miracles at your house???
