Nothin'

I've been doing a whole of nothing these days.

Watching the clouds float by.

Eating. ;)

Knitting by the pool......

While I watch the munchkins swim.

I'll check in here again when life speeds up.

For now.....

I'm enjoying this slow summer.

Life is uncomplicated when you're camping!

Sunny Sewing

 Have sewing machine...

Will TRAVEL!

I'm camping this month

and hope to get LOTS of these blocks completed.

I THINK I have enough scraps!!!

LOL!

But....

I totally FORGOT my cutting mat and ruler.

UGH!!!!

Guess I'll have to trim later.

:/

I'm doing some OLD SCHOOL cutting

with template, pencil and scissors.

The kids are keeping me on the edge of my seat....

Wondering WHO's going to win

these RIVETING games of UNO!!!

;)

Plenty

Some of us are OFF to Family Camp!

Activities for the young ones,

Cafeteria food (I don't have to cook!),

and

Lots of time to Visit with friends!

We've packed the necessities.

Life's Good.

There are plenty of quilts to take along!

Friends.....

Thanks for entering the Craftsy giveaway last week.

Cheryl Won!

congratulations!

Sewing Room in MINIATURE!

While settling into our new trailer...

I decided the FIRST order of business was to stake my claim!

I needed to Find a small area that I could call my "sewing room"!!!

This small table and chair fit perfectly.....

but I needed an ironing board!

Hmm......This looks like an opportunity!

All it needed was an ironing board COVER!!!

I made a sort of fabric pillow case.....

and filled it with some batting that has heat resist foil in it.

I added a casing and elastic!

Now it's PORTABLE!

;)

After getting my sewing space fitted up....

I finished this quilt top for an upcoming wedding gift.

I'm hoping to embroider the new couple's last name

and the wedding date in one of the white areas.

We'll see......

Then....

I made a couple of potholders for gifts.

I had packed so many scraps....

that I had enough to make some more for ME!!!

Last, but not least, I worked on a little girls dress.

Whew!!!!

Clothing construction is so FIDDLY!!!

Zippers.....ugh!!!

lining.....ugh!!!

Ah well.....

When things got rough.....

I just walked out the front door....

Took a DEEP breath....

and FELT the peace of nature

ALL around me!!!

Camping and Sewing

WERE definitely

MADE for EACH OTHER!!!

Camping Quilt

This old friend...

One of my very first quilts....

Fit perfectly.....

In my new Home away from Home!

The surroundings are peaceful

and the weather was perfect this past weekend!!!!

There were even some berries to pick

a hop skip and a jump

away from my front door!!!!

I'm heading back today

to set up a mini sewing corner!!!

There will be peace and quiet

and a little HUM as I sew along!

;)

Someone's talking!

While I'm away camping....

enjoying some family time....

and some quiet time.....

Rachael Daisy is talking about me!

MY goodness...

You leave the "room" for one minute...

and they start talking!!!

LOL!!!!

;)

A Knit wonder!

The miracle of Double knit:

Multiple trips to CAMP...

and it looks JUST the SAME!

Reminds me of that old commercial....

"Takes a Lickin' but keeps on Tickin'!!!"

I added a felt label to this sleeping bag.

We always know

Who it belongs to!!!

Do YOU have any Knit Miracles at your house???

two.

Camping fabric project #2.

Two pillows.

Two campers.

Two more.

Cute. Cute. Cute.
Oops!! That's three Cutes!!
Oh well....
I think these two pillows deserve it!!

I knew it!!

I caved in and bought some fun camping fabric.

I'm using plaid scraps that have just been

----W-A-I-T-I-N-G----

for an opportunity to be included in a quilt!!!

I knew those scraps would come in handy someday!!

Striped challenge friends:
