I am getting re-aquainted with my walking foot.
We've been estranged for a while now.
:/
The speed limit had kept me away....
but I've been plugging along
at a reasonable speed.
I haven't been given a ticket yet!!!!
:)
Half square Triangles for this quilt were easy.
A pencil line.....
Two seams....
A nice long CUT......
Viola!!!
Quilting with a walking foot, for me, calls for a bigger stitch.
It's a big number....
but I think these stitches will do.
It also goes a little faster....
and I LOVE that part.
;)
My stash gave me these two fabrics for the border.
5" wide.
I'm now OUT of the polka dot on the right.
I had only a sliver left that was even too tiny for a scrap quilt!
A scrappy back.
IT DID take a while to FIND the perfect colors...
but while I was digging, I realized AGAIN....
I DO NOT NEED ANY MORE FABRIC!!!
Red Gingham binding to the rescue again!!!
Woo Hoo!!
This quilt is in the
HOME STRETCH!
Looks great, perfect fabric for binding!
ReplyDeleteLaughed at the 'slow down' note - I have my case for my foot with the same note on it! The bigger stitch looks so much better and with a little bit heavier top thread it works beautifully. Love the gingham binding with those fabric lines.
ReplyDeleteLooks good....I love the slow down message!
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny! Your quilt looks great - and I love that you are shopping your stash!!
ReplyDeleteHi Beth: is that a 1/4 inch foot you're showing here? did it come with your Juki? where can I get one?
ReplyDeletethis is going to look so nice! love how colorful it is!!
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt. It is very nice. Love the quilting foot with slow down written on it. I need to do that to mine. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt. I usually use a larger stitch also when I use my walking foot but only about a 3.
ReplyDeleteI use my walking foot to attached my binding strips to the quilt. Have you ever used it for that?
ReplyDeleteThis little quilt is a real snuggler.....what fun!
Happy Sewing
