Snickerdoodles never fail to satisfy my craving for cookies.
1/2 C. butter
1/2 C. Crisco
1 1/2 C. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Using a recipe written by someone else!!
In their own handwriting!
This one was given to me by a Young Friend.
These handwritten recipes never fail to
put those special people in my mind.
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 2/3 C. Flour
You're supposed to sift these dry ingredients
but I never do.
It turns out just fine.
When the cookie dough is ready.
You've got to taste it.....don't you?
Mix 2 T. sugar and 1 t. cinnamon
Lick your fingers, of course.
Bake at 375 degrees
for 8 - 10 minutes.
Don't eat them all.
These always were my favorite cookie.ReplyDelete

My daughter makes great snickerdoodles. They are indeed dangerous to have around. "Luckily" she doesn't bake often.ReplyDelete

I thought I was the only one who liked to bake using recipes that other people have written. I think of them the whole time as I recognize their writing. And snickerdoodles are the best. My sister-in-law gave me the recipe and she hand wrote it for me.ReplyDelete
Snickerdoodles are a family favorite here!ReplyDelete
Those and ginger snaps - thanks for reminding me.
Oh I can almost smell them...... Yummy!ReplyDelete
