Done. done. done.
I DO need to quilt it.
So technically it's not...
done. done. done.
I blogged about making the trees here.
As usual, I get excited about the top being complete
and I want to share it right away!!
DO you do that too??
This one uses a lot of scraps.
Most of the Christmas fabrics in my stash came from my
"quilt Mom", Gerda.
The scraps are kind of "dated", but the little scraps look great
when you update them with something
comtemporary like that black.
Don't you think?
I love string pieced things. Your trees are adorable and give me some great ideas. I think the black looks great.ReplyDelete
Looks fabulous! I love the piecing but am much slower on the quilting!ReplyDelete
This is such a cute Christmas quilt.ReplyDelete
Very contemporary looking, and so-o-o-o-o cute! Good job!!ReplyDelete
I love this quilt! I just may have to make me one since I have tons and tons of scraps! Love the black with it. Please post a picture of it when it is all quilted!! How big did you cut the newpaper squares?ReplyDelete
My newspaper square foundations for the trees were 12 1/2". Hope that helps. I think any size would do, though.
Yes. I'll be sure to post a picture of it quilted....if that ever happens. ;)
Beth, love your Christmas trees!!! Your fabric does not look dated at all. To me it is done when the top is pieced ;-) You know I show pictures before it is quilted...that's when mine look the best ;-)ReplyDelete
Pretty! I always wish I had a Christmas quilt, but never feel like actually making one - LOL. Yours is inspiring :)ReplyDelete
you are fast! this is great.ReplyDelete
Great quilt! And you're way ahead for Christmas!ReplyDelete
I love your trees and your scraps- How fun they are and I don't think it looks dated at all.ReplyDelete
