Quilter extraordinaire!
And...
I got to take a class from her!
Raw edge machine applique.
I don't have the blanket stitch on my machine...
so I zig zagged it.
It looks pretty messy though, huh?
I left all those threads hanging...
then Sue explained that I could...
use a
self threading needle
Pull the threads to the back and then...
tie them together!!
What a great idea!!!
If you try this at home,
be sure your threads are nice and long!
Two more days of quilt camp!
woo hoo!!
Look at this little guy enjoying the flower.
Can you see him?
I'd like to sit in a pretty place like that too!

By the way, it's Tuesday.
Oh...you knew that.
Today's the day to pick a winner!!
Drum roll please....

I love the idea of using a self threading needle-I use an embroidery needle because of the big eye but this sounds even easier!
ReplyDeleteSounds like this is a fantastic quilt camp-love your painted fabrics.
I'm going to a lunch and lecture by Sue in October. You've have got me very excited.
