I'm busy figuring out what to do with a
BOATLOAD of tomatoes.....
As I think about how to make
a LIGHTNING BOLT grow.
I've been doing some FIGURING.
and....
My figuring
Doesn't always ADD UP!!!
You can see SOME are lightning bolts...
and some that just aren't
LIGHTing UP!!!
:/
Ah well....
Figuring is fun!
I'll continue.
Why does the tomato harvest
always arrive on the
HOTTEST day of the year???
Just wondering.
Love the new block you are playing with - short circuit! We didn't have a garden this year, went to the local farmer's market yesterday with daughter and loaded the car (around 2 baby seats even).
ReplyDeleteI'd be canning some yummy salsa if I had that boatload! Love your Lightning Bolts. Have you seen the similar quilt on Material Obsession's blog? It starts in the middle and goes in a circle....very cool!
ReplyDeletei love the lightning bolt idea....i have the worst time figuring thing like that out. i always go to my husband!!! that is how he quilts.
ReplyDeleteLove the Harry Potter scars. I think you just have some blocks turned the wrong way so the lightning doesn't fire there. Just give them another look.
ReplyDeleteI have a bunch on my counter that also are calling my name! Love the lightening bolts!
ReplyDeleteWe have a cultivated hayfield, 10 acres, that we do every year. We swear whoever said "make hay while the sunshines" has destined us to always have to do hay on the HOTTEST day of the year! I feel your pain! Toni
ReplyDeleteSalsa, spaghetti sauce, fresh with some salt YUM!
ReplyDeleteTomato juice ...
ReplyDeleteCute lightening bolt blocks.
I'm still in awe of your baby doll tutorial! They are so sweet :D
Those tomatoes look delicious! Your blocks for the lightening bolt are looking great too!
ReplyDeleteI visited your daughter's blog. Looks like you had an amazing time too. Thanks for sending me the link.
isn't it a fun block?!? (Even more so when some of the parts are the 'wrong' way! I accidentally discovered that.)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout-out!
I picked heaps yesterday and today. I'm looking at a greek salad and homemade catsup. Your block is way cute.
ReplyDeleteare they "hothouse" tomatoes???
