I'm so excited about this block!!This is my first quilt block made ONLY with solid colors.
I've wanted to do this for a l-o-n-g time!
I've been collecting some solid color fabrics.
They were either free or in the dollar pile
at the discount store.
I love the challenge of using what I have.

Why the brown background?
That was the biggest piece.
I'm having so much fun with this!!

How fun! Seems like we don't even stick a solid in with other prints much, do we?
ReplyDeleteA couple years ago, I did a quilted rendition of a Cree Indian painting (very bold and bright) and actually had trouble finding the right shades of solid colors. I was frustrated with the lack of solids in my stash! Since then, I've made a point of trying to pick up some solids here and there.
Are you going to do a whole quilt or wall hanging with your solid color basket blocks?
