a gift

I finished quilting this little baby quilt,
And binding it!!!

A simple backing with some light green binding.

Now all we need is a simple label for the back.
Can't wait to give it away!!!

And then I have a warning for all of you.
IF you make a quilt that someone loves...
You'll be making another one.

I made a t-shirt quilt last summer and received the
NICEST thank you I have ever received.
The thank you note said....
"That was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me"
"I will babysit your kids or your dogs for the next 20 years" :)

Well, when someone says that kind of thing...
I'm going to do that again!!! didn't stop there.

The recipient told another neighbor, who in turn
asked me....
"Would you mind making me a t-shirt quilt for my grown daughter?"

What could I say??
You guessed it.
I said, "Yes! I'd love to"
And I do love doing this for others.

What a great way to reach out to people, huh?

Today or tomorrow I'll try to begin quilting this one.

  1. The top and bottom border you put on this baby quilt adds so much interest . . . lovely!

I've never attempted a t-shirt quilt. Have heard they are "hard" to work with. You're obviously a brave lady. (And good quilter!)

  2. what beautiful work!

  3. Congratulations on your first finish in 2010; looks wonderful:-)
