Monday Making

I spent some time making little half square triangles last night.

This week I hope to make a few more of these blocks

for a quilting guild exchange.

The pressure is ON when making blocks for quilters!!

I'm using super OLD fabric.

The past couple of years I've been trying

to use ONLY what I already possess.

I possess a LOT.

Thankfully...

my LOVE is scrap quilting....

so it works.

I was very happy to get this quilt OFF of my to do list this week!

It's always a challenge just getting a quilt sandwiched together....

right??

Once the layers were ready...

I put my feed dogs down.....

and I began making lines with little HILLS here and there.

I love simple quilting patterns!

I have ONE MORE quilt to finish before graduation day!!!

that someone ELSE pieced for my local guild.

I will also HOPEFULLY make a backing for this quilt

These lovely spring blocks are in the newest

100 blocks magazine

published by Quiltmaker!

Except.....

The block in the magazine looks like this!

When I designed the block it was FALL!!

I thought a FALL BLOOM was appropriate...

but NOW I'm thinking the happy spring colors

are BEST!

I think this is my favorite arrangement of the block.

I might be thumbing though this newest magazine this week...

looking for some inspiration!!!
