I've Changed My Mind....

I was going to give this to some friends for their
50th wedding anniversary.
I got this far.
I kept looking at this quilt.
Everytime I looked I saw....
USC!
All I could see were
SCHOOL COLORS.
I still have some time.
So-o-o
I'm going to make another quilt!
After all....
I love making quilts!
Isn't this better?
Yes, I think so too.
This is what I'm going to work on today.

I had that middle part made already.
I had done it for another quilt and
CHANGED MY MIND.
Maybe changing my mind is a good thing?
Because now I have this wonderful middle part.
I think I will embroider the couple's names and
date of marriage around that pot.
I will also add a white border around.
What do you think?

  1. What about a "gold-ish" colored border around the center? Because of the 50th wedding anniversary?

  2. HA! I'd love to be waving that USC quilt around at church on Sunday after USC stomps on Ohio State. It's such fun living here when OSU loses, LOL!

Both are pretty, but I'm such a "blue" person, I like the 2nd one!

  3. Oooo, I like the gold idea too. I also think waving the top quilt around after USC kicks tail on Sunday is an awesome idea! They're both nice, but I do prefer the blue. . .nice job on both!

  4. Hi Beth,
And, you make such wonderful quilts. Lucky recipients of your quilt. Well, 50 years is worth a quilt I'd say.
    Hugs,
    Marilyn
