Every project deserves a bag.
An easy thing to GRAB as I run out the door.
The more Unfinished projects there are....
the more bags I NEED!
I love making bags out of leftover
upholstery samples
and other HEAVY weight fabrics
collected from here and there.
The main LEAF piece in this one
I found in the back of a shop
last year when visiting Greenwich village.
Just using the bag reminds me of my trip!
My little added pocket came from an old pair of pants.
Worn out pants contain a LOT of great fabric
to REPURPOSE!
Little pieces from here and there
came together for one of my favorite project bags!
I have QUITE a few projects bags now
hanging around here.
some empty....some full.....
How about you?
I love your bag! Great use of the old pants. I should take time to make me a few bags. I love all the ones I see out in blog land. Just have to find the time.
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of a bag for each project. Very cute bag too.
ReplyDeleteI come from a long line of Bag Ladies. I love putting my projects into bags but the more unfinished projects I have the more I wish all of my bags had a clear vinyl side. Then I could just hang them on a peg board for easy viewing. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteI use box lids for my UFO projects. All the specific fabrics, tools, and finished blocks (not yet on the design wall) fit and I can tote them to the living room to cut and take them back to the sewing room later. I like your bag, and the idea, but just don't have the time to make the bags.

I love bags! Simply cannot stop making them. That Greenwich Village fabric is fabulous and makes a perfect souvenir. Just got a new pattern for a black & white polka dot to try....
ReplyDeleteI love to make bags out of furnishing fabric and old trousers. The result is much stronger and hard wearing. Having a bag for each on-going project is a great idea.
