I'm beginning my week with a FINISH!
A very. simple. finish.
This little quilt began with these two fabrics
found in the remnant pile at a VERY reduced price.
I liked that little print...
but wondered how I would add some color!!!!
GREEN was the answer.
I used ONLY what I could find in my stash.
It worked!
I'm sure I would NEVER have chosen that backing
IF I had been shopping!
BUT....
since I didn't want to go shopping....
I found something that worked...
and....
I think it gives this quilt even MORE color!
The front of this quilt is nice soft flannel.
The backing is cotton.
Sometimes if you use ALL flannel
the quilt becomes TOO Heavy and warm.
Ingredients for this quilt:
sixteen squares of fun fabric: 7"x7"
forty strips for sashing: 3"x7"
twenty five cornerstones: 3"x3"
Put it all together!
Baby quilt measures about 39"x39"
I love that fabric. What a great find.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very pretty green, and the backing is perfect.
ReplyDeletethe green looks gorgeous and adds quite a lot to the quilt
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet quilt! I love the green with the deer print. boy, you must have a big stash and wow, you are prolific!
ReplyDeleteThis afternoon I just finished cutting two trail blocks from one of you tutorials. I lost the date but it is the block that looks like rays. I like it. I'm doing it in batiks.
Very cute! And how satisfying to use only what you already have!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! Congratulations on starting your week with a finish!

ReplyDeleteSupercute! Thanks for leaving us with the ingredients-- I've been wanting to make a baby quilt with large-ish square blocks like this and now I don't have to think much about it!
