Congratulations Grandma!! Yes, one of your dolls with matching 'tag' blankie, some cloth blocks, burp clothes, hooded towel, and love the shoes. Oh, getting cold - a fleece hat and little mitts on clips.

Many congratulations to grandma and the rest of the family, and what an adorable little girl she is!I have been searching the web for baby projects too, and there are so many that it's hard to choose. My favorite was bibs with terry cloth on the back which would be very useful. I will also make super simple baby pants.
One beautiful grandaughter and one beautifully proud grandmother, welcome ! Try http://attic24.typepad.com/http://vintagericrac.blogspot.com/ http://easymakesmehappy.blogspot.com/ and check out some of the blogs they read. Lots of creative mother's and grandmothers. congratulations.

Congratulations to all! I made these recently..very similar to the link you shared, but a little bit different construction.http://maked.ca/tutorials.htmlEnjoy that baby:)
Sweet! There's nothing nicer than holding a baby especially a grand child I'm sure (I have none yet). Congrats!
I'm very happy for you, Beth. I hope you love being a grandmother and get to see your wee girl often as she's growing up. You have such a wide range of sewing opportunities with a girl... all those cute clothes! You'll be sew busy sewing, even more (if that's possible). Blessings on all of you.
Congratulations! I would just keep holding that darling girl and forget about sewing. :)
Wonderful!!!! Congratulations!!!! Yeah, I would just hold the baby and not sew too!
Great photo- beaming grandmother, sweet and healthy granddaughter. Congrats. Go sew those cute shoes. Then visit Lil' Blue Boo site and click on patterns under the "shop" button. She has patterns for adorable skirts, dresses.. most from "upcycled" t-shirts. Her blog is very lively, and usually features her little girl. Lots of tutorials there as well. But the downloadable patterns... the best. And links to other sewing sites there, too. Happy sewing.http://www.lilblueboo.com/
Oh yes, and another blog I follow has a cute upcycled baby cap. The author, Alisa Burke, just gave birth to a little girl, and you'll want to check this out. Have fun. http://alisaburke.blogspot.com/
Congratulations!! Being a grandma is absolutely the best thing. Make them both!
Oh, Beth, she's beautiful! And you look so happy!! It's fun being a grandma, isn't it?
Isn't it wonderful? You are just beaming. Won't you have a blast sewing for a little girl? Congratulations to all.
Congratulations! I bet everyone is over the moon. Have fun making her stuff. You'll be able to teach her to sew too!
Yaaay! Most marvelous thing in the world, to be a grandma! Congrats!
Sorry, I don't have any links but I am so happy for you! Congratulations!
Congratulations! She is adorable and you looks so happy and proud!Joy to you and your family!
congrats! As a new mommy, I'd have loved a ton of those little shoes/slippers.... lots of colors and sizes. ;)
Congratulations! My grandbaby is 3 years old now and still a great joy. She loves pinks and purples and quilts. My suggestion is to make large quilts that can be used for making tents with the furniture, giving magic carpet rides to her dolls and stuffed animal friends, and cuddling in on cool mornings. I wish I had started bigger quilts when she was new. Now I am playing catch up.
Congratulations on your sweet bundle from heaven! Tears in my eyes as I type - best wishes to all!!!
Congratulations! I usually make small baby quilts that can be used by the parents right away and can be used by the child later as a dolly's or teddy bear's quilt. Enjoy every moment!
A grandchild! Congratulations to you and everyone else in your family. You'll be making those shoes for sure and probably everything else people have suggested. :)
Blessings to you and yours! I've made those booties, and they turned out adorably!
How fun; congratulations! I can't sewing anything besides quilts, so there will be no advice on my end!

Congratulations on the safe arrival of your new grandaughter. I have had no internet connection for the last week, so missed this until today when I am using my daughter's connection. You will really enjoy that little 'future needlewoman' :-)

congratulations! you are going to have so much fun! i became a grandmother again on the 19th too! fun fun!
I've been busy and am just now catching up on blogs . . . Congratulations! Nothing lime a baby to get your creative juices flowing!
I am just now seeing your blog, but wanted to congratulate you on your little granddaughter! I am sure you are having a great time making things for her! My first grandchild, also a little girl, is four and a half now and her baby brother is due to be born in two weeks. I also have a little grandson who is 14 months old. I sew and crochet things for the boys, but especially love sewing for the girl. I have been making tons of little pillowcase and shirred dresses, as well as layered "twirl skirts" which she loves! I sewed a lot for my first child, a little boy, and then less and less, with each child added. My first daughter was my fourth child, and second daughter was my sixth child, so I did not have time to sew for them very much. I am really appreciating having the time to sew for my granddaughter. At this age, she loves everything I make her, which means a great deal to me!
