I finished my swap quilt.
10" squares of Kaffe Fasset with a coordinate to match.
Isn't it wild?

The tutorial for this block is here.

This little quilt top was an experiment.
I did NO planning.
I just did some cutting and sewing.

Since I didn't do any planning......
I ended up with a pretty small quilt top.
Right now it's only 48"x48".
I guess TECHNICALLY it's NOT finished.
I do want it to GROW.
If I want it to grow...
You've GOT IT......
I'll have to SHOP!
Ah well......
Worse things have happened!!!

Who won the book, you ask??

  1. *drool* L.O.V.E. it!

    on my to-do list

  2. Love those fun, no plan projects - great quilt Beth.

  3. Great quilt it's flamboyance!

  4. I love poke-your-eye-out bright colors and I love that quilt block! I did a challenge quilt recently with K Fassett and Phillip Jacobs fabrics and I called it Holy Cr*p That's Bright. It's going to be my retreat quilt and I will have to wear sunglasses to bed.

  5. I love the Kaffe quilt!! Awesome!!!

  6. Very Kaffe......great pattern and colors.
Yes keep it going...can't wait to see what you do with it.

    Happy sewing

  7. Wildly Wonderful!! Love it!
    Congrats to the winner!
    Hugs, Deborah

  8. What a beautiful quilt... and YES! Go shopping... more is better, esp when it comes to fabric!

  9. We could all use something fun like this to brighten up grey and rainy days! I am surprised how vibrant the solids look against the Kaffe prints; I would have thought it would be the other way around. Love it!

  10. Your quilt is awesome! I am going to have to make this one!!!!

  11. So colorful and lively! Great job. Shopping is just such a chore, right?? Will look forward to see what you add. Many of my quilts are "invent-as-you-go" style. And they always seem to turn out to have a certain appeal (to me anyway).

  12. Your quilt is fantastic! I love the fabric...

  13. Thanks for the giveaway!! I'm anxious to start reading the book.

    Do you read Wanda's blog?
She too loves Kaffe's fabrics and has made quite a few.

  14. this turned out so amazing!!! what a beautiful job.

  15. I love the quilt--added it to my (long) list of favorites. It will be fun to see it grow.

  16. Who needs to plan when you've got that much creativity just bursting out of you? The top is wonderful, and I wish I'd been paying attention because that book is on my wish list!
