split nine patch

One block.
Four options....and I know there are more!!
option 1.
love the big blue stripes through the whole quilt.

Option 2.
predictable. but pretty.

option 3.
pinwheels. has movement.

Option 4.
Big blocks of color!

Do you play with placement when you're working on a quilt?
Thanks for playing along with me. :)
Now I need to go make some more blocks.
I'm also adding this to sew and tell fridays!

  4. Option 4 is my favorite. But they're all pretty. You need a design wall :-)

  7. Looks like you are having fun. Did you just stay in a sew all day in this rain? And, play with blocks? I did.

  13. I think it's so much fun to play around like this with color/block placement! I love them all, but actually think number 2 is my favorite, and I don't find it predictable at all. The pattern is not quite so obvious, making it less flat looking and actually giving it some movement, I think. But you couldn't go wrong with any of those layouts! Have fun!

  14. Whoa--I really like the pinwheel setting. Yes, I always play with placement because I have great difficulty following directions :) Cool block--I haven't tried that one (yet).

  18. I like #3 the best because I think it has more movement. #2 comes in second. Great blocks with such vibrant color!!

  21. I like #1. I can't say why, but I just keep going back to that! (Probably has something to do with the fact that I always buy my husband ties that have diagonal stripes....)

  22. Those are great blocks. Love all the options. If I had to pick, I'd say #3. Thanks for sharing.
