I'm adding a pretty green binding on my dump and sew today.
I think it kind of goes with that little bit of green
used in the backing fabric.
And...
I LIKE green!
I also like BIRDS!
I AM jumping AHEAD of myself a bit!
See?
I'm not even DONE with the quilting!
and look at that!!!
I missed a SPOT!!!
LOL!!!
That's O.K.
Having the BINDING on will make traveling
and quilting
less FUZZY!!!
Wool batting seems to cling to ME!!!
The GREEN binding fabric
is one my FOUND FABRICS!!!
Found fabrics are those that you SPY
when you LEAST expect it!!
When you're NOT looking for fabric!!!
This one was a SHEET in it's prior life!!!
A little more quilting...
A little more stitching to get the binding on....
A little more TIME with one of my
FAVORITE quilts!!!!
I just love the backing fabric! Sweet!!
ReplyDeleteRock n Roll Beth!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks terrific....the backing and binding go together so well! I know what you mean about the batting - I'm always so anxious to put the binding on so it'll stop 'shedding' on me and the quilt! Nicely done....enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the backing!!! What is that? My luck it will be long gone...but it is BEAUTIFUL and the binding is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt! The backing is perfect.:)
ReplyDeleteB! I love the hand-quilting!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah it's looking amazing!
ReplyDeleteNicely done, the hand quilting is such a lovely touch,
and really solids are terrific aren't they?
Happy Sewing
oooh, I love the dark hand quilting! Is that perle cotton? It's a beautiful quilt.
ReplyDeleteI call "found fabric" stuff that I didn't buy and wasn't trying to acquire - you know, a bag of stuff someone gives me or a root through someone's scraps, etc. It's a wonderful way for me to be creative in those limits. I rarely buy fabric anymore.
I just love (super love) the stitching in this quilt!
ReplyDeleteYou're not alone. Sometimes I bind before I'm done quilting, too!
