Here's a recipe for a very simple baby quilt.
Begin with ONE very cute fat quarter.
Divide the fat quarter into FOUR equal parts.
My four pieces were 9"x10".
Add a dash of 2 1/2" strips.
Any length.
Finish with a 6" border on the top and bottom.
This is called ...
The lazy man's way to a longer quilt. ;)
THIS my friends....
Is the secret ingredient!
Men's shirts.
STRIPED!
Add a backing. Quilt and bind.
Very simple.
Very effective.
V-e-r-y Cuddly!

ReplyDeleteThis is very cool pattern. I did a quick estimate and I come up with a quilt that measures 36 ish by 50 ish. Is that correct? That's a great size for such a little bit of work. Another great idea. Thanks
ReplyDeleteVery cute!
ReplyDeleteAnd very cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing such a great recipe and sharing your secret ingredient.
That's a great idea! I've got some really cute "zoo" fabric. I think I'll incorporate that into the next baby's quilt. (I've got a new grand (#8) on the way.) It'll make a fun little quilt that is non-gender and I won't have to worry about the color. Thanks for showing yours. (Isn't the Blogging Community great. Mine won't look anything like yours, but your idea sparked mine.)
ReplyDeleteHugs!!
That is a simple and cute quilt. I like your focus fabric. One could do just about anything baby-themed with this and it would turn out so cute.
ReplyDeleteLooks yummy and like something I'd enjoy cooking up. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteVery very cute - and I love using men's shirts in my quilts! My poor hubby has to put up with me eyeing (and stroking) his shirts as I consider how much longer he might wear it before I can get my hands on it to cut up......
