free fabric.

One man's trash....

Is MY KIND of treasure!!!

16 squares are now cut 10"x10"....
ready to go!!!
I think I'll add little stars in the cornerstones
with that red fabric in the photo above.

Is this your kind of treasure too???
I just can't believe someone
GAVE these already sewn together strips

I really should be packing for a big trip to...
ALASKA on Tuesday!!!!

I'm very good at AVOIDING the necessary
scraps of fabric!!!

  1. Your's was sewn together - I had someone bring me a gabage bags FULL of scraps - now have to sort - but, oh boy - what fun!

  2. That's so exciting! My mom is always bringing up fabric scraps or buttons she finds. Looks great so far!

  3. Lucky girl!!! It's gonna be a very cool quilt!!

  4. Wonderful treasure it is. Have a great trip, be safe. Selina

  5. What fun. Have a great time. Alaska is a great place to visit.

  6. I love what you are making with the fabric. My girlfriend just got back from Alaska. You are going to have a wonderful time. Do you need someone to carry your luggage...wink,

  7. What a great find!!! I love finding treasures like that!! As for packing, You will get it done. :O) Our weather has been in the mid 50's for weeks here in the Mat-Sue valley just 45 miles north of Anchorage Alaska. We have had more clouds but not to much rain. Have a great trip. Maybe I'll see you in a quilt shop!:O)

  8. They were already sewn!!! What a treasure to find/get!

Are you going on a cruise or a flight? In any case, have a great time in Alaska!!

  9. Love the strips! Especially the fish fabric. Lucky you!

  10. I adore string quilts in any or all colors. This one has dash! Will you show it again with cornerstones, please?
