You come up with such clever ideas! Vary the width, turn alternating strips in the opposite direction, sew them together, voila! I must remember that contrast is my friend...
smile,smile,smile.. and then breathe....very pretty, but you made me tired!! I know when GOD is leading ya to do something he also gives you the strengh, energy, and resources.great job! to everyone.
I send all my scraps and strips away to a lady now. I met her when my scraps got overwhelming and sold them on ebay. Two big boxes full...and she bought them both. Then she told me that she has MS and can no longer get out to fabric shops so getting a box of scraps is like going to a fabric store for her. Her feet can no longer work the foot peddle of the machine so she hand sews everything right now.
I just sent her another box last week. No use just taking up space. I have never been scrap creative like you are!!
Wow, I love this! This is great! :-) I have a lot of strings. I started a string quilt years ago and have never finished it. This might be a nice addition for some variety. :-)
How cute! They remind me of colorful Easter baskets.
ReplyDeleteNow isn't that pretty... those beautiful blocks from the pile of spaghetti.
ReplyDeleteClever girl.....I never would have seen them inside that pile.
Happy Sewing
Can't wait to see them all sewn together in a quilt!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a treat to receive! Thanks for sharing - I could feel your exuberance and I loved seeing the photos of you in quilt play!
ReplyDeleteI am amazed at how your strips have been transformed by all that cutting and resewing. That woven effect is marvelous!
ReplyDeleteWho would have thought such beautiful blocks could be produced from that tangled pile. Very resourceful.
