I have been making 

CHRISTMAS IN JULY 

projects this week.

Teeny Tiny Trees!!!

(less that 2")

I have made them before...but this time

I am adding the beads and pearls around the outside.

I think it adds some  **SPARKLE**

I also made a HOLIDAY HEXAGON.

I hope to get one more Christmas project done

before the month is up!!!

I've also been enjoying my husband's garden....

and....

 Knitting outside.

I am LOVING ALL THE GREEN!!!

Monday Making

After getting my snowball quilt basted....finally.....

...I began some hand quilting this week.

Yeah!!!

Getting all those ugly basting stitches in

takes time...

but it is SO worth it!

I am using Perle cotton....

And hoping to add another color or two as I go.

One snowball at a time!

I have always wanted a patriotic quilt.

This is the next best thing.

A little quilty banner to hang by the front door.

:)

I decided this was good idea on July 3.

It was finished on July 4.

No time like the PRESENT....right?

I used lots of little leftovers

And had so much fun moving them

This way and THAT!

Then I decided to make a quilt flag for one of my boys.

He recently moved out....

And I thought he’d like a little something HOMEY to hang up.

He did!!!

Woo hoo!!!

The flag part is a panel.

All I had to do was add the half square triangles.

With no picnics or parties to attend....

I had LOTS of time to make these fun little banners.

This week I took a vintage quilt.....

(purchased a while back at a thrift store)

copied the block.....

and made a pillow sham to match.

It's not a perfect match....

but I STILL love it!!

It's adding summer to my space!

This snowball 9 patch i made a while back

is SOOooo ready to be quilted.

I have been dragging me feet because

I want to HAND quilt it.

Maybe this week I'll get the quilt sandwiched up

and I can BEGIN!!!

The garden is giving us a harvest!!! 

This was last night's salad

with strawberries on the side.....

and these are the onions drying out.

My husband's garden keeps me busy

and well fed!

Making this baby/toddler quilt was good medicine this week.

Making baby quilts always helps me get in the right frame of mind.

Cutting shapes with little templates is therapy!

Yes.....

It does take time!!

But I enjoy the peaceful work.

Love all the HAPPY color!

I cut 30 “I spy” tumblers and

240 solid color tumblers
