Thursday morning.

Almost every Thursday morning I get together with friends.
Nice, huh?
They come over and bring their projects.
We work.
We talk.
Compare notes.
It's always an inspiring morning.

Today Jenn added a border to her quilt!
AND
we pinned it...ready for quilting!

I stitched a little on my baskets.

Ellen (the expert Knitter) clicked away on her new socks!

Jenn showed us her C-u-t-e Bib!!
She said it was easy...
but I don't know about that part!

Maybe for you knitters it is....??

We pondered this little knitted cap.
Why is it so big if the pattern says it's for an infant??

Cute, though.

Well...
Chloe kind of wanted to do something too.
Were we leaving her out?

Wouldn't want to do THAT!!

" Here we go Chloe.
A sewing project just for you."

Can she do it??

Yes she can!

She had some fun!!

Sewing begins at an early age around here!!

Hey!
I was even inspired by my knitting friends to
take up my crochet needle again.
I made these last Saturday during an all day conference.
So glad I could use the time doing something crafty!
My kitchen will LOVE them.
And so will I!!
I'm adding this to Amy's sew and tell.
Run and around blogland and get inspired!

one sheet.

I have a little pile of vintage sheets at my house.
They keep looking at me...
Hinting they'd like some company.
Could I please find one more pretty sheet
before sending them away to
the vintage sheet patchwork swap??
"O.k.", I thought.
"I do like to shop at thrift stores.
Maybe there's another sheet wanting to
be turned into a quilt out there!"
I found more than one.

In fact, I had to leave some of the pretty sheets there.
:( :(

I couldn't buy them all...
Too bad.
I'll be cutting these up tomorrow...
Then I need to send them off!!
Maybe when that little pile is not looking at me,
I'll get my mind OFF of vintage sheets!!

And, of course you know, I did not leave the store without
some other little goodies!!
Fabric for my stash...

And this little doily.

I just l-o-v-e little things like this!

You see what shopping for
ONE sheet got me???

proof.

Here's the proof!

I can't crochet (or knit for that matter).
I could never make those pretty things I showed you yesterday!

But I was able to use this lopsided, misshapen creation...

Here.
When I decided a few years ago to cover the cushions with WHITE!
What was I thinking???

Amazingly enough, that little crocheted THING has
SAVED that chair cushion!!
It's still as white as when I had it covered!
Yeah!!

It's not the prettiest solution, but it works.
And THAT's what matters, right?
AND, it looks so much better when I can put a little
something right in the middle!

I made this mini pillow with felt and
a little bit of embroidery floss!
SUPER SIMPLE!

I'm adding this to amylou's sew and tell today.

old and cute

Here's something I pull out every Christmas.
It's old and a little faded now.
But it's so pretty!
This is something I could NEVER make!
And these little coasters live in my living room
ALL year long!
I think they're so pretty.
And again, I could NEVER make these either!

An Angel chorus!

Snowmen!

Snowmen!

a whole bunch of....

Snowmen!
I didn't make any of those above.
I bet you guessed that one!

I did make these with my kids a few years ago!
I bet you guessed that too! :)
Maybe this year I'll get that little guy in front a HAT!
