You know me.
I like to make quilts.
Usually practical quilts that friends will use.....
Or practical little quilted gifts that say
I care about you!
I also like to DREAM.....
Quilts like this that have no
PRACTICAL purpose at all.
I'm in an art quilt group now that
is giving me the opportunity to do that!
I used a lot of little leftovers in this piece.
Leftover pieces of fabric.
I didn't BUY a THING!
I love that.
This quilt is now part of an exhibit called "GATES".
It will travel to various quilt shows in the next two years.
I had a lot of FUN with this one!
Isn't whimsy one of the things we LOVE about quilting?
Oh, you snuck this one on us. Just love the expression, detail, embellishing, various stitching, the FUN of it all. Congrats on it being in a traveling exhibit.ReplyDelete
Wow.... those are beautiful!ReplyDelete
Very Beautiful! I'm always so inspired by your work... I think we think alike...I've envisioned a gate or fence quilt myself. Not exactly as yours, but similar theme. I'm inspired to do more sketching!ReplyDelete
Good on you Beth. It is wonderful!ReplyDelete
What a super creation--Congrats! I know what you mean about quilts with no special purpose--I generally call them wall quilts, though, and hang them up someplaceReplyDelete
I love 'Gates'! It's wonderful. You are very creative. Congratulations on being part of a traveling quilt exhibit. Beautiful job!ReplyDelete
