I'm feeling some maternal pride today.
Now don't get me wrong.
Jenn's not my daughter...
but this is her first quilt!!
*****Thundering APPLAUSE******
I saw this one coming together.
A quilt always begins with those trips to the shop.
Choosing the fabric....
Deciding what pattern to use....
Cutting the fabric.....
Making the blocks....
I got to sit on the sidelines and watch it all happening!
Like I said.
I'm a proud "quilt mother" today!
Jenn said she will be adding a white border,
so this quilt isn't quite finished.
But we can all see that she's SOooo close!

And here's the beginnings of her
SECOND quilt!!
Two little girls.
You've got to have two little quilts!
Are you a "quilt mother" to anyone?
Let me tell you.
It's a great feeling!
I'm adding this to Amy's sew and tell!

  1. I'd call you my "craft sister" teach me so many different crafty things! Love Jenn's quilt, by the way!

  2. Beautiful quilt....

i too would call you my quilt sister!!

  3. Yay! So excited to be this close. Just wait, Beth, I've got some more quilt-y ideas swimming around in my mind from hanging out with you!

  4. You have been so ( sew) busy!
Congrats on your art the crow and so darn clever with the should do a little tutorial on it!
Yes, I have been tempted to start that new block that Bonnie is talking about as a leader and ender.....but another new project??
My head may explode if I don't finish some of these soon!
thanks for stopping by my blog....we seem to travel in a lot of the same groups :0)

    Happy sewing

  5. Isn't such a wonderful feel when you teach someone?! Here quilt came out wonderfully! Now she has the bug and will never stop. That's a good thing. :o)

  6. I love Jenn's quilt! It's so fresh and springy. She has an excellent eye for color.

  7. I have a quilt mom, she gave me my first scraps. And I am a quilt mom to my twin sis. I had to babysit her through every seam of her first!

  8. Jenn's quilt is fabulous! She has a wonderful teacher. Thanks for sharing!
