This is another of my unfinished quilts waiting for an occassion for a quilted gift...or maybe I'll keep this one. All the blocks are ready to go. Maybe I'll add a white border with some applique. I'm still thinking about it.
This is a pattern I got from the Moda Bake Shop. I like to see what's happening there! This pattern appeared way back in May. Sheri Howard designed this with 30's fabrics and her My squares strips are 2". Not much of difference, huh? But, a big difference in ease of construction. I had SO much trouble with my measurements. LOL!
If you happen to change thesquare strip size like I did...be sure and change the other cutting directions.
If you happen to change the
instead of 1 1/2", 3 1/2", and 5 1/2"
you will cut: 2", 5" and 8".
The blocks grew to be 11" square.
i'm so brain dead...didn't even remember they were strips! AND it wasn't that long ago I made these! The GOOD thing is...I learned how to do those fancy strike outs!
That will be a fun quilt....that is the glory in quilting, you can make it your own! I think most quilts are a "jump off" of some other quilt, or something we see! 1 1/2" sqares are not actual squres...but strips..straight seams! Thanks for the post about Moda Bake Shop!
