Three Things

This RIOT of color
STOPPED me in my tracks at the local thrift store.

I don't need an Afghan.
But.....

When it's only $3!!!
"I'll TAKE it."

YOU know
and I KNOW
I don't need IT!!!!

You ALL know what that pink flower is, right?
But.....
DO you know the name of THIS one??

It's on a very TALL stalk in my backyard.

I picked one flower and set it in a small bowl of water.
Is that the right way to display this beauty?

I'd love to know more.

Just sent Husband and daughter OFF
on a backpacking trip with friends!

When they're gone I don't cook.
MORE TIME for sewing!!!!

blue strings

Here's a fun finish.
Just in time for graduation!

This one was started way back here in January!
I just needed to add a border
and
quilt it.
and
Bind it.
JUST!!! HAH!!!

I love these scrappy quilts.

The backing here is a sheet.
Hooray to repurposing. reusing. recycling!!!!

Okay.
One down.
How many more to go????
Quite a few actually.
:/
I don't want to count today!

I now have a new little friend sitting next to me
as I finish those quilts....
Holding all my important stuff...
like pincushions, scissors, rulers.....
Isn't she cute???
Goodwill, You're my hero!!!!

Simple Saturday

Here is my patio table. It's so nice to eat outside in the summertime! I made this table cloth last year and didn't buy a thing to make it! I had the nice striped fabric in the cupboard and the flowers were from my stash. When I made this I was in a hurry (as usual) and didn't even use fabric adhesive for the flowers....maybe I didn't have any and was too lazy to go to the store. It was free and easy to make.
I just cut the flowers out, put my feed dogs down and ta da! I'm not telling you that there are some puckers in there....but it didn't matter too much to me. I even left the edges "RAW". This table cloth has seen MANY meals and is getting very faded. I needed a new one...so-0-0...

Last week I found this queen size sheet at the thirft store. YEAH! I love the fabric and it's nice and wide.
I bought it.
I brought it home.
I washed it real good.

Today I trimmed it up and hemmed it. I even have left over fabric for my chair!
Super Simple! You can do it too!
The hardest part will be finding a sheet you LIKE!
