Snippets

The last few days have been full!
Made a little bag at the very last minute for a friends birthday. That's when I usually get things done. ;)
The hand quilting didn't take very long at all and adds so much.

Worked on a knit dishcloth for my daughter as we drove all day for a short visit. Busy hands helped the miles go by.
She lives in a beautiful part of Northern California.
One highlight was a visit to a farm.

Lots of vegetables and flowers. Oh my ! I love country living!

I even snagged a recipe from my daughter's friend.

Mmmmm......
This Dutch oven recipe has me intrigued!
Gotta love fresh baked bread!

Bright little bag

My daughter asked me to make her a little bag.
A BRIGHT little bag.
"NO batting please".

Just a little zipper bag.

She has a plan for this little bag.

It's NOT makeup.

It's NOT jewelry.

NOT sewing!!!!
???????

WHAT could she NEED this little bag for???

'
Aaah!!!
COUPONS!!!

A girl after my OWN HEART!

little something

This week...I made....
one little sewing bag....
For ME!

See?
I've already filled it with my JUNK!

Not to worry!
I can make more!

These decorator fabric samples
have been in my cupboard TOO LONG!

I'm using the samples ALL UP....
and it feels so good!

I should have a little bag ready
for ALL my friends...
IF...
I can gather up enough ZIPPERS!!!
;)

You'll find other fun Friday finishes
here and here!

Half Square triangles will TRAVEL!

I used some Leftover blocks from this quilt to make a bag!

Well....truthfully...it's still a QUILT TOP!!!
But...
One of these days...
it'll be quilted!!!
;)
I hope.

I WAS going to make this gift a potholder gift
like the ones I made last week.
But....
My daughter recommended making a little bag instead.
I'm GLAD she did!
I love it!

I first quilted the outside with some diagonal lines..
and then...
added the zipper and lining.

Very simple.
Very sweet.

My orphan blocks DID it AGAIN!
I was also able to use some Orphan batting... LOL!!!
I sure have a LOT of little pieces around here!!!!

I'm imagining these half square triangles traveling
FAR and WIDE with their new owner!!!
She just returned from a big trip to AFRICA!
Who knows where she'll be off to next????

Little bag

I wanted to make a bag today
after seeing my quilt teacher demonstrate her pattern.

I don't need a bag.

But I made a bag.

See??? I knew you'd understand.

Mine is made in miniature.
I used 2 1/2" squares instead of the 5" Squares called for.
A little more Fiddly than 5".....
but cute!
And totally pointless!!!

Your niece is ready for crafty Thursday morning!!

The letters are attached using iron-on adhesive.
