Blogger's Quilt Festival

It's time for the Blogger's Quilt Festival again!

Thought I'd share my most recent finish.

This quilt is for a high school graduate.
The strips of blue, brown, gold.....etc.
found a happy home in this scrappy quilt!

If you visit me here often...
You KNOW I love scrappy quilts!

I was happy to find a bright modern print for the backing too!

Scraps are not wasted at MY house.
;)

They always find a HAPPY HOME.

Enjoy the quilt show!
Thanks for stopping by.

Blogger's quilt festival

It's that time again....
Time for a QUILT show hosted by Amy
It's GREAT to travel around the world
virtually...
and ENJOY everyone's quilts!

I'm sharing a quilt I made this year.
One month at a time.
;)

This little car is my favorite part!

I had some friends join me on this quilt along.
I made one element each month
and shared about how I did it.

Once the red and green quilt top was complete....
I looked around for a backing.
I LOVE....love...love
this happy colorful backing I found!

I even used it for the binding!

The doors needed to be WELCOMING....
so I quilted
Merry Christmas!

Lots and Lots of swirly snow
makes this quilt extra "special".
Special = LOTS of TIME and THREAD.
;/

It's wonderful to be READY for
Christmas this year!
This quilt show gave me
the kick in the pants I needed
to GET 'er DONE!
:)

Enjoy the quilt show.

I'm entering this one in the
original design category.

Quilt Festival!

It's time for Amy's quilt show again!
I bet I'll be the VERY LAST to enter my quilt.
:)
There are about 650 quilts already!
That's a lot of quilting folks!

This is a scrappy quilt.
My very favorite kind.
It includes one white strip in most blocks
and a HOST of blues and greens.
I was able to include some old fabric
as well as lots of new contemporary prints!

The binding here from connecting threads
pulls it ALL together!

Of course,
the backing is also pieced.

Just a little.

LOVE this blue from Robert Kaufman
called Way out West.

This quilt is going to a high school graduate.
I enjoy making and giving these EACH year.
Sometimes I enlist helpers as I get them together.
I had a few of my friends make some of the blocks in this one.
I like to send a little LOVE to the kids
as they transition into that BIG world we call....
ADULThood!

Time for a quilt show!

When I finished this quilt...
I did a happy dance!!
A VERY LOUD....
A VERY BIG....
happy DANCE!!!!

All those little 2" squares were
FINALLY a QUILT!!!!

I'm sharing this one for

It proves that LOTS and LOTS of little tiny pieces of fabric
will EVENTUALLY become something....

That can be USED!!!

Dimensions: 86"x86"
Includes a MILLION 2" squares
(some were sent to me by blogland friends!)
Hey!
I even quilted it myself!

I call it my postage stamp quilt.
;)

Enjoy the quilt show!
