Hello Quilting Friends!
What are YOU making this week??
I have been slowly working on a knitting project.
A cardigan sweater for one of my girls.
I've made so many BABY sweaters...
I thought I would at least be able to FOLLOW a pattern in an adult size.
So far.....So good.
:)
Adult sweaters do take a "TINY" bit longer!!!
LOL
(this free pattern is on ravelry HERE )
There will be a slight pause of TWO weeks for this link up party!
I will be unable to post for a couple of weeks.
Keep SEWING!
Keep KNITTING!
Keep MAKING!!!
I'll be back!
The sweater looks great. You were smart to pick a "plain" sweater -- it is much more likely it will get done in a reasonable amount of time. We'll miss you -- take care and hurry back to us!
ReplyDeleteHope your doing something fun!! see you soon!
ReplyDeleteOh this brings back memories. I havent knitted in over 20 years. Of course I never went beyond the knit/pearl stitches I have made sweaters. Recently I found a pattern for flying geese socks, yup they are out there.
ReplyDeleteGood for you to take a well deserved break. The sweater looks interesting. Post a photo when it is finished. I love to knit, too!
ReplyDeleteWhatever you are doing, I hope it is fun. I was just thinking about how much I enjoy going on your site every Monday and wanted to thank you. Your linky party provides me with so much inspiration and a chance to share my own progress.
ReplyDeleteKnitting is so magical, and I do love sweaters. It seems like there are a lot of sources for really nice, high quality natural fiber yarns now, too. I might need to learn this magic one of these days! Roughly how long does it take to knit a straightforward women's sweater (not one with lots of fancy stitches and patterns in it)?
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely sweater that will be.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the knitting and enjoy your blogging break.
