Being a grandma means I get to make some of these.
I DO love baby sweaters!!
There's the YARN.
There's also the SIZE.....ha ha!!
And the BEST part....
Is seeing the little one WEARING IT!
I also finished this half square triangle quilt top this week!
It was a FUN challenge working on my color VALUES!!!
Some of the fabric is outdated and
some is downright ugly.
(it was a personal challenge to see if I could make it work!)
It also contains quite a bit of purple.
Not one of my TOP colors.
I do like the design.
The squares are 3 1/2".....
Not quite small enough to HIDE the ugly fabric.
Such a cute little sweater. The quilt top looks wonderful too!ReplyDelete
I only see the pretty in the top. Great sweater and love the color.ReplyDelete
LOTS of interesting fabrics in your newly completed quilt top. You certainly met your personal challenge!!ReplyDelete
The graphic quality of the value contrast is all I see. You met your challenge in every way!ReplyDelete
Wow! Your quilt is definitely a study in values! I like it! That baby sweater is so very darling! You have magical hands! Thank you for sharing!ReplyDelete
I'm loving your uglies :) That quilt top is a winner!ReplyDelete
Very cute baby sweater, love the colors. The quilt turned out beautifully, I don't really notice the uglies, it's the play of color that's most noticeable. So mission accomplished.ReplyDelete
Great job on both the sweater and the quilt top!ReplyDelete
Beth! You're a genius! I love that quilt top and I'm also not a fan of purple. In fact, I don't really see "ugly" fabric in there (I think there is no such thing as ugly fabric - it just needs to be placed within the right patchwork :)) I'm sure you agree.ReplyDelete
Also, that sweater is super cute. It looks like a simple one, like maybe I could make it! Do you have a link to the pattern?ReplyDelete
