Scraps on Friday

I have a fun finish today.

Thankfully I had a quilt top ALMOST ready
when I found out I needed a couple more
GRADUATION quilts!!
;)
I have just a FEW quilt tops.
Cough cough...sputter sputter.....

This one only needed to be STRETCHED out a little.
JUST......a little bit LONGER!

SCRAPS to the RESCUE!!

I've had the quilt top about 6 years!
I think it was TIME to finish it....eh???

I love scrappy quilts
Don't you???

  3. Don't feel bad. I have yet to finish my son's denim crazy quilt started when he was about 12. He's 51 now!

  4. Yes, I love scrappy quilts too but it is tricky finding the time to finish all our projects ... this is a fabby finish, well done.

  5. Scraps do rescue for sure. Pretty quilt. 6 years awaiting the finish? I must admit I'm not unhappy to hear that- I have so many unfinished projects at least that old! Well done.

  6. Scrap quilts are my favourites and it's always nice to have one in the UFO pile that you can grab when you need a last minute gift for someone. This is a great quilt. Good job!

  7. Your plethora of tops sounds mighty familiar...*ahem*
Your scraps added to this top quite seamlessly - they look like they belong. Well done!

  8. Way to use your scraps!! Stretching that quilt top was a great way to give purpose to a (practically abandoned) UFO.

  10. Great job! Lucky you to have quilt tops in waiting. I have tons of stash, tons of scraps, not any tops.....I seem to gift as I finish. But now I have a reason to just keep sewing, when nearly all the babies have been born, the graduations have all happened, the weddings are all over......I won't live to see my great grandchildren graduated and married. I can leave them quilt tops for someone else to finish!!
