My dear friend grew up playing with this little doll quilt.
I imagine it was made in the early 70s.
Its construction is very basic.
It's just two layers of fabric.
No batting at all.
She brought it over to have a seam re-sewn.
A SUPER simple fix.
;)
She has some WONDERFUL memories of using this quilt
in her childhood as she played with dolls.
Made me realize that doll quilts have a special place
in little girls hearts!!!
It Made me think I should make some!!!
Yes....
It Made me want to make ANOTHER QUILT!!
Inspiration! It's catchy.

That is certainly a treasured little quilt.
ReplyDeleteOh how cute is that! What is it tied with?
ReplyDeleteSo why not make a doll quilt or two and have a swap with a bunch of us?
I love making little doll quilts and my granddaughter has so many already :0).
Happy Sewing
Quilt is tied with yarn. After the years of love, they resemble little red and blue pieces of popcorn! ;)
