Unscheduled activity

I never even THOUGHT about making a quilt like this
until...
Yesterday!!!
That's the day I recieved a "just because" package from Beebee.
;)
Very SWEET of her TOO, I might add!!!

But....
This unexpected burst of quilting is
ALL because of HER!!
If the floors aren't clean
and the bathroom is not scrubbed...
Don't blame me!
Blame her....Please.

She sent me some tumblers
cut with her Go cutter.
Do you have one of those??
I don't.

I have this little baby....
Handed down to me a couple of years ago.

I've never used it.
But guess what??
It's the SAME SIZE as Beebee's little tumblers.
:)

Now I'm puttering around
on a quilt that NEVER would have happened...
if it hadn't been for a
special delivery..
quilty gift...
sent by a blog friend.
Sweet!

  5. Aren't tumblers fun! Especially the die cut ones with those easy little corners to match up. The only thing I don't like about them is that you can't put 'em together in blocks.

  6. How fun---I have that template but have never used it. I don't have a GO cutter; after all, can we really remove ALL of the 'necessity' from quilting and still have ties to our quilting roots. ;)

  8. I've always wanted to try tumblers. I think making a quilt when inspiration hits is *way* more important than clean floors! :-)

  9. I do have a go-cutter (baby), but am NOT happy with it. Gonna have to look for a template like that, maybe we could trade! :) The tumbler doesn't turn out too bad, but the drunkards path is aweful. Great idea, but they definitely need to perfect the design.
