The 2 1/2" squares were out on the table......
I had a request for a blue table mat
from a sweet older friend.
ONE hop, skip and a jump....
and....
It was done!
Kind of blah....
UNTIL......
the stitching came in!!!
AMAZING.....
what a few stitches can do!!!!
Lovely indeed! I am curions, did you do circles or waves?
ReplyDeleteNina Lise: Can you see the petal/football shape in each square? Each square has a total of FOUR curves. IF...I stitched in THREE of the curves I could do a whole row of squares and then come back through for the last stitch. That way I didn't have to keep starting and stopping. If this doesn't make sense, Let me know. Maybe I'll sketch a picture and post it tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteOh yes! The quilting stitches really look great!
ReplyDeleteOooh, do post a picture -- I'd love to see how that's done!
ReplyDeletethat quilting is so pretty. did you do that by hand or on your machine?
ReplyDeleteThe quilting really did turn a simple piece into something very special.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilting you did on the squares and love the blues.
