Someone....once upon a time...made a block.
This is an oldie but goodie.
Since the fabric used by this unknown quilter is SO thin...
I decided it would not suit a quilt.
But.....
It WILL make a nice table topper!
I did the easiest thing and added a 2 1/2" border to the block..
then.....
I had some fun doodling stitches with my feed dogs down!!
The more stitches I added, the more I liked it.
I have three more orphans to rescue!!
Wish me luck!
;)
I like it too!

ReplyDeleteFabulous job, I had to go back and look at the original cause I couldn't believe what a difference tha border and quilting made.
ReplyDeleteIt looks a little Mexican 'tilish'. Good idea.

You chose your fabrics really well to blend with the original block. Love the bright print the quiltmaker used!

Wow, that turned out fabulously! I look forward to seeing your other rescues.
ReplyDelete..."with the feed dogs down"...yep, I read that and realized that I forgot to do that last time I free motion quilted. I guess I'm glad it went so well.
ReplyDeleteAt any rate, I definitely agree with what I've read above-- your quilting adds so much to this block, love it!
