Group project

One of the MANY joys of blogland
is a group project....
a Quilting bee....
An adventure!!!!

I was able to join a quilting bee over here this year
and requested blocks from my 11 bee peeps.
Blocks using "made" fabric...
fashioned into a VERY large triangle
15" wide.....any height.

This is what I received!
Isn't it fun??

I added a simple border....

and found out that....
Quilting goes a LOT faster when the
blocks are READY MADE!!!
Thank you friends.
I love my quilt top!! get it quilted!
But that will have to wait! :(

The tension on Ms. Juki has gone haywire!
I think I need some expert advice from
the sewing machine doctor!!!
Until's little miss featherweight and me.
We'll be BFF today!!!

  1. So very cute. Sorry to hear about Ms. Juki.

  2. What great looking blocks.Never would have thought of making them any height, great concept. Selina

  3. It's a beauty! Looks wonderful. Hope Ms. Juki feels better soon!

  4. Beth, it turned out so nice. I start the next Bee in September. Hope I have as much fun as you. Hope Ms. Juki is feeling better soon. Hugs

  5. Love your bee blocks. They make a fun scrappy quilt.

  6. Your Bee quilt is gorgeous. Great idea for the blocks.

  7. Its adorable........maybe you'd enjoy another hand quilting project :0)......this one would really sweet with all over freestyle fans, don't ya think?

    Happy sewing

  8. Looks really nice! sad about Ms. Juki! Hate that when that happens!

  9. Great colors - what a great way to use scraps!

  10. Really cool to see all the blocks together in a quilt! They are all very bold! Nice!

  11. What fun! That was a great idea to just ask for a width & any height. :D
One of these days I will step out & try 'making' some fabric. I just need to gather all my scraps & bits & pieces into one place & dig in...

  12. What a fun Bee quilt! I love the "made" fabric! :) Thanks for linking up to {Sew} Modern Monday and have a great week!
