shopping

My quilting hobby has sort of "taken over".
You know...it creeps in at every turn!
Even the lowly re-usable shopping bag has not
been left out!
Have we all made one or two or three shopping bags...
just because we like to sew?

I made a bunch of covers to attach to some
UGLY bags that were a deal!
I wanted to cover the awful picture that was
printed on them.
I will attach the pictures with a Large running stitch
around the outside edge.
It will fray a little, but that's o.k. with me.
The first picture is the only one that is
finished with that running stitch.
I cut some rectangles for the background
of my little "stitch-doodled" pictures.
supplies:
buttons
yo yos
embroidery floss
and steam a seam for the pots

Appliqued some pots on a couple of them.
Added some buttons and yoyos!

No yo yo maker for me.
Just a 4" square.
I have a big box of those...remember?!

fold in half twice.

trim the corner off with a curve.

A circle.
This circle doesn't have to be perfect!

Stitch the edge over.
oooh....bad picture!

that's a little better.

Pull that thread tight and tie a knot.
Viola!
A yo yo!

Applique that down.
stitch-doodle yourself a little picture!
Then...

Go forth and shop!
